Last December, FHM cover girl and GMA-7 rising star Ellen Adarna shows another side of her as she reveals her dream weekend escapade in her first-ever gravure photobook. Donning sexy bikinis, the more laidback Ellen lounges around, spending quite alone time by the beach, unbound by time and away from the hustle and bustle of her celebrity life.
Published by Rawr Books, A Weekend with Ellen enthrals readers to a different kind of photography style. Taking its cues from the magazines photos done by Japanese models, gravure makes use of poses that are more playful and innocent than aggressive, with minimal lighting and production design.
Photographed and designed by Jay Tablante, the gravure
photobook chronicles how Ellen spends her relaxing weekend. In one
scene, Ellen is seen fresh out of bed, having coffee in the garden. In
another she’s under the sun, displaying her more playful, yet still very
sexy side.
